Typical weekly schedule in the Granada
community:
Monday through Thursday:
8:00am Breakfast
8:45am - 12:30pm Spanish language sessions and school exchange (meet at the high
school Colegio Maria Auxiliadora)
12:30pm - 2:30pm Lunch/Siesta/Free time
2:45pm - 5:00pm “Spanish through Leadership” Youth Community Service
5:30pm - 6:30pm Latin Music & Dance
7:00pm - Dinner
Evenings with host family, or scheduled cultural or special event.
Fridays:
8:00am - Breakfast
9:00am - 4:00pm Spanish all day “road trip”( visiting local island schools, volcanoes,
artist villages)
4:00pm - 8:00pm (free time)
8:00pm - 11:00pm Live music and cultural events in the Plaza
Saturdays:
Local school events or all day excursion including: (rainforest, canopy tour,
blue Lagoon, Pacific beach, surfing)
Evening out: host family fiesta, or high school fiesta.
Sundays:
Free time with host family, day to relax in the community!
Note: All evening events are chaperoned!
There are other activities to choose from and not all activities are mandatory.
